Performing Arts

One of the greatest aspects of the elementary school years is the opportunity to explore passions and unlock the gifts hidden within a young student. At St. Paul Christian Academy, students have the opportunity to gain confidence, hone their acting skills, and gain invaluable experience in the performing arts. Each grade performs in various ways throughout the year, with opportunities like the Junior Kindergarten Christmas Program, Second Grade Poetry Recital, Upper School Talent Show, and more. The Busy Little Squirrel is an annual fall puppet-play, adapted from a book with the same name, where second-grade students sing, play instruments, and act for various audiences including parents and younger students. The Third Grade Play is a St. Paul tradition, where the third-grade class performs a morality play, similar to an Aesop fable, dressed as various animal characters. The Spring Musical is another acting opportunity, where fifth and sixth-grade students participate in both acting and music rehearsals, as singing is an important part of creating the show. Past musicals include Beauty and the BeastWilly WonkaAnnieAladdinLion KingThe Jungle Book, Charlotte's Web, and more!
