Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the Classroom (BTC) provides students of St. Paul Christian Academy with a loving and safe environment outside of school hours, in a setting that is comfortable and familiar. BTC offers after-school care and Saints Club.

Early Morning Care

BTC's Early Morning Care is available from 7:15 to 7:35 a.m. on school mornings. All students are welcome to use Early Morning Care as needed.

Contract Care

BTC's Contract Care is available from dismissal to 6 p.m. Contract care is intended for students who attend on a regular basis for specific days each week.

Preferred rate of $16/day

BTC's Drop-In Care is available from dismissal to 6 p.m. Drop-In Care is intended for students who only require occasional care, or on an as-needed basis.

Pick-up before 4 p.m. for discounted rate of $9/day

BTC's Conference Care is available from 7:35 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Conference Care is intended for families who are in need of extended care on conference days with no school.

BTC’s Saints Club includes after-school enrichment opportunities for all grades. At St. Paul, our goal is to continue to create a desirable and exciting lineup of afternoon activities that allow our students to grow, even after the official school day has ended.

Chess Club

Join Mr. Mitchell, Fourth Grade Teacher, for weekly chess lessons, as students explore patterns and increase working memory through this age-old game. Students can also meet for lessons during their scheduled lunch period on a weekly basis.

Creative Canvas

Join Miss Atema, Art Teacher, and Miss McGarry, Kindergarten Teacher, for a fun afternoon of painting! Students will follow step-by-step instructions to complete a painting on a canvas, often themed seasonally. Past sessions have included Creative Canvas Camp—a three-class program where students create projects using different techniques—paint pouring, pumpkin painting, nativity scenes, and opportunities for an adult to paint with a child in Duet Painting classes.

Join Ms. Carol, SAGE Dining Staff, for a 1-hour class on healthy eating, nutrition, and cooking. Students have fun creating delicious and nutritious masterpieces, exploring their culinary side!

LPG Sports

LPG Sports Academy is offering a combined baseball and soccer program on campus after school. Students learn sports skills in a fun and nurturing environment, while also developing life skills through sports that will stay with them as they play and grow. This program offers three weeks of baseball and three weeks of soccer, filled with instruction, scrimmaging, and fun!

Music Lessons

The Music Staff Studio Performing Arts Academy offers after-school, private, instrumental and vocal study at St. Paul Christian Academy. Teachers provide one-tone specific teaching to create the optimum learning environment. Students learn the language of music, both written and aural, and focus on performance aspects of the instrument or voice. Lessons target the individual needs of every student, along with a passion for creating a love for music.

MyGym

MyGym is a fun, gymnastics-based program led by trained instructors on St. Paul’s campus. Each class incorporates basic tumbling, sports skills, group games, and teamwork challenges.

STEAM

Join Mrs. Curry, STEAM and STEM Teacher, for classes filled with imagination and creativity in the St. Paul STEAMmaker Lab. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, and these classes aim to teach innovation and critical thinking in a fun and encouraging setting. Past sessions have included Learn to Code, Cardboard Construction, LEGO® Robotics, and LEGO® Engineering.

Ukulele Lessons

Learn to play the ukulele with Jamie Bricker, Music Teacher, and the Music Staff Studio. This fun class will cover notes, chords, strumming, and technique to foster little ukulele players at St. Paul. The ukulele is very similar to the guitar, but has fewer strings and is gentler on small fingers. Students will learn songs for everyone to love!
