Upper School
The academic curriculum remains anchored in the four core disciplines of mathematics, language arts, science, and history in the Upper School. Third graders receive instruction from one homeroom teacher; fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade students rotate through subject-specific faculty. Fourth through sixth-grade homeroom teachers serve as subject-matter experts in a core discipline. This structure allows us to focus more intently on each academic area to prepare students for entrance into and success within Nashville's most selective college preparatory schools.
“At St. Paul, our faculty identify and support the unique strengths and weaknesses of each student and forge a strong partnership with parents to help every student reach full potential. Through a rigorous academic program, diverse extracurricular opportunities, and a commitment to servant leadership, St. Paul develops well-rounded students who are consistently recognized at next-level schools for their achievements and their positive impact on school communities.”
