St. Paul 4th graders visited the Nashville Symphony this past week. They listened to Copland's Appalachian Spring and American Masterpiece. The students were asked to sing "Simple Gifts", a Shaker hymn within Appalachian Spring and learned about the creation of the symphonic piece. The students learned about the set design and choreography that was originally used. Afterward, the students had a private meeting with Keith, a cellist with the NSO. He played several pieces and answered questions about the cello.

Dear Parents, I am thrilled to announce that we have officially reached 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund! I extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for committing to support the mission of the Academy. Now all $55,200 committed through the Challenges will be given to the Annual Fund. This is a historic moment in the life of St. Paul. Never before has the Academy reached 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund. This proves what a generous community we are blessed to be a part of and sends a strong message of support for our mission. Congratulations! Hal Andrews, Development Committee Chair
