Dear St. Paul Community,
It is with great excitement that we share with you a new option available for families and students starting in the fall of 2017 at St. Paul Christian Academy. As we begin to plan for the coming school year, many families have expressed a desire for us to provide an option for 4 year olds in advance of the junior kindergarten year. Backed by research and interest expressed in the last few years, we have been exploring opening a class designed for students who will be turning 4 between May and September, 2017 and who anticipate transitioning to junior kindergarten the following year. We are proud to report that based on research and the known data and interest, this coming fall, we will be opening up a class designed for children turning 4 and it will be called junior fours. The class will be designed and curriculum constructed in a way that is age and developmentally appropriate. As of now, there will be a three and five day option.
The board approved the addition of this class and set tuition as the following:
(7:35 – 3:00: Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
(7:35 – 3:00: Monday through Friday)
What can you expect from the junior fours? The junior fours will provide each student with the fullness of the Academy experience utilizing a curriculum that is developmentally and age-appropriate. In alignment with our junior kindergarten program, the curriculum will be play-based, capturing each child's curiosity while equipping them with the skills required to succeed in a school setting. Members of our lower-school team will visit some of the premier programs in the Southeast as they develop the curriculum. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to families.
We are excited to offer this new option to our families and anticipate it will fill up very quickly. Please reach out with any questions you may have.
