Chess

St. Paul continues to join forces with the Nashville Chess Center (NCC) to form an after-school program. The NCC provides all the needed materials and qualified instructors to mentor and coach the kids.

The Chess Club is open to students in first through sixth grade and meets once a week for one hour immediately after school in the C.S. Lewis Library. Whether a student is new to the game or an experienced player, all are welcome to participate.

St. Paul also provides a unique experience for students to participate in small, group-oriented chess lessons on campus during lunch time. This time allows more one-on-one instruction and builds on each week’s previous lesson.
